MEDIA STUDIO

The DSC Media Studio is intended for video and photography projects. It includes:

  • A backdrop with black, white or green screen
  • Soft box photography lights
  • LED Video Lights
  • Wireless and Wired Microphones
  • A object light box for object photography
  • A Canon 80D DSLR for both photography and video capture

We ask that first time users complete an online orientation with a short quiz before booking the studio. Once complete users can book the studio for up to 4hrs/day. Some things to remember when booking:

  • Make sure you receive a confirmation of your booking, as staff mediate booking requests. Submitting a booking does not mean your time has been approved.
  • It is best to book extra time at the start of your booking to set up the studio to your liking. Staff can assist with changing the backdrop, but you will need to adjust equipment and lights to your needs and these changes take some time. You typically need a minimum of 30 min prior to shooting to get everything ready prior to shooting

For longer booking periods please email staff at dsc.library@ualberta.ca
