Due to the continuing threat of Covid-19, our Makerspace activities have been suspended indefinitely. Our staff remain available to assist remotely with project design and software training but the usage of the maker tools will not be possible for the fall 2020 term. Feel free to visit the Library’s Services during Covid-19 website for information on library services. You can also learn more about how our 3D printers and laser cutter have been deployed to help UAlberta faculty and students creating PPE for frontline health workers.
The DSC provides a foundation for research projects to grow and evolve using technology. We are happy to offer a range of making tools free of charge. We can also refer University of Alberta learners to other makerspaces in the Edmonton area.
Please read our Makerspace policies and code of conduct here.
